Nice weather, nice cars

Now that nice weather is really here, it is fun to be driving and see a cool car.  After all, nice weather, nice cars because not many people drive classic cars in a blizzard.

As I was driving this weekend, I saw a Ford GT.  I know it isn’t a muscle car, but it was still cool to see.

I also saw a modern Corvette with a new front and rear end to make it look like a 1953 Corvette.  It was cool to see, but I would prefer to see a 1953 Corvette myself.

I was following a newer GT500 Mustang.  It is amazing that at least from the back, there isn’t that much to make it look different from a regular Mustang.

Then I got to see a couple of classic cars, an Oldsmobile Cutlass and a Buick Wildcat convertible.  Unfortunately I didn’t get to take any pictures of them, but it is always fun to see and hear them.

That is one thing the modern performance cars lack, the rumble and loping idle of an old fashioned high horsepower V8.  I love the performance and drivability of new cars, but there is something about the older ones that just sound cool.

It is just nice to know that each time I need to drive someplace, I may see a cool old car.  It always make a trip more fun when you see one.
